Tandem formed in 1997 after Russell and Belinda met whilst studying at the Australian Institute of Music in 1995.

Together they offer over 20 years experience in the music industry. During the 80's and 90's, Russell toured with bands such as Midnight Oil, Matt Finish and Neil Murray and has worked for international artists including ZZ Top, Joe Walsh of The Eagles and Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac and many more.

Tandem started as an acoustic act playing small cafés on the Northern Beaches and then progressed into the pubs and clubs. As technology presented more possibilities they integrated midi backings as accompaniment providing the audience with a full band experience .

Artists covered by Tandem range from Creedence Clearwater and Lynrd Skynrd to Guns n' Roses and 4 Non Blondes. They also cover classic pop songs from artists including The Buggles, Katrina and the Waves, Bryan Adams, the B52's and The Monkees.

Tandem have an extensive repertoire and continue to expand.
